The prison of self-deception
If you work more, then there will (again) be more money and the marriage will be fixed, if you keep repeating that you won’t draw the exam question you hate, then you won’t draw it — or the other way around: if you keep saying you’ll draw a good question, then that’s how it will be, if you buy a bigger car, women will chase you, or if the brand logo screams from your skirt, then the dream man will arrive…
The list is endless.
What they all have in common is that fear generates them.
FEAR of facing the feeling that
it didn’t work.
That you failed.
Terror of failure.
Fear of annihilation.
Because you feel like a nobody.
You were not (a dream) / or not enough.
Yet you did everything:
You tear yourself apart so you can have a house, a holiday home, take your partner abroad, to wellness trips, you give him/her millions to make them happy. You cook, wash, clean, raise the children together.
You want to prove yourself…
So you cling to a life that shows the outside world that everything is fine.
While inside you are shattered, lonely, desperate and frustrated.
Because instead of love you chose fear.
It was YOUR CHOICE.
You cannot blame anyone else for it. Because there is no one to blame. It was your path — to bring you right here, where you are now.
You expect love from others — then love yourself!
You expect honesty from others — be honest with yourself!
You want change — then change YOURSELF!
You want success — live success!
Who should believe in you, if you yourself do not?
How long will you deceive yourself and your environment?
How long will you lie to yourself?
Does it really not hurt enough yet?
Facing ourselves is a bit like jumping into the depths. A death-jump.
But if you are brave, know that your old-new self will rise again. Like the phoenix.
And then you will understand that
you never failed.
That you succeeded. That success was always here.
You are the success. Just as you are.
