My answer is rather this:
thank you for being here.
For the gift of having met each other.
It is a blessing that you are part of my life.
Once we all walked our paths separately, each of us fighting for a better future.
Many times we passed one another without even noticing.
Perhaps we were too absorbed in our own thoughts.
And yes, there were those who joined us only for a while,
staying as long as they hoped to gain something.
I thank them for leaving.
Because this is how you could arrive.
And you stayed.
It is meaningless to judge humanity from afar.
Humanity is not a theory.
Not a social analysis.
Humanity is you, me, us, all of us.
Encounters.
Glances that understand one another.
Heartbeats.
And because of this, my faith in people has grown stronger again.
Because of you.
And because of what we awaken in each other.
It feels like reaching an open door
after walking past many that were closed.
And realizing that you have finally arrived
at the place in the world
where you were meant to arrive.
